Are you passionate about education and making a difference to the development of pupils with a range of special educational needs? The LTF Recruitment team are looking to appoint a behaviour and autism specialist to work within one of our partner schools based in the central Derby area. The role is due to start in September 2022

This is a term-time only position working 37 hours a week (8am-4pm each day) The school that we are working alongside pride themselves on the SEN support it provides to its pupils. They even offer comprehensive training and ongoing support throughout your employment.

The duties within your role will be:

Working with teaching staff in promoting best SEN support possible
Applying a person-centred active support and positive behaviour support to enhance the quality of life of our students.
Working alongside students in classrooms to develop relationships and provide meaningful support.You will report directly to the SENCO based in school with ongoing support from the Head of School, class teacher and other senior leaders in order to develop skills and experience.

The school are looking for a candidate who:

Has previous experience of supporting SEN children
Possesses excellent knowledge around supporting autistic children
Can effectively support children with challenging behaviourThe salary for this role is between £17 and £19k dependant upon experience.
