The role:
  • The successful Procurement Manager Energy will understand the wider market and legislation and develop the category strategy suitable for the UK market
  • In the role the Procurement Manager Energy will be accountable for creating, developing and executing effective strategies to maximize commercial, sustainable and operational benefits
  • The Procurement Manager Energy will lead commercial and contractual negotiation processes with suppliers. In addition, you will develop a trading/risk strategy that meet the needs of stakeholders
  • As the Procurement Manager Energy, you will identify and pursue new value/saving opportunities
  • You will prepare and execute commodity price risk management strategies and will develop, enhance the category plan
  • In the role you will pick up additional responsibility for other categories depending on experience

Ideal candidate:
  • You will currently be leading procurement for the energy category either within food retail, foodservice or food wholesale within the UK. You will have passion for working for a fast-paced multi-site environment
  • It is essential that you can demonstrate a passion category management, and a flair for commerciality along with fantastic negotiation skills
  • Working as part of a team you must have excellent relationship building skills you will be able to communicate and influence with stakeholders.
  • As Procurement Manager Energy you must have good insight and data analysis skills and be able to action commercial opportunities
  • You will have excellent project management, strategic thinking and leadership skills and will be able to work independently on your own initiative or as part of a wider cross functional team a self-starter with can-do attitude
  • You will thrive in a growth orientated fast paced environment with high levels of integrity and a community feel

  • Role is split between 2 days in North London head office, 2 days at home, 1 day in supplier/in the field
