About the role

This role reports directly into the Commercial Finance Manager and will provide vital business reporting and analysis to the UK commercial and sales team. We are looking for a naturally inquisitive and commercial individual who wants to pursue a value adding role within a commercial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Weekly / monthly sales variance reporting to include volume, revenue and gross margin across multiple accounts, channels and categories
• Support Commercial Finance Manager with wide variety of ad hoc data analysis
• Work closely with Sales and Supply Chain to maintain an updated full-year volume and margin forecast (YELO)
• Act as conduit between Sales and Shared Services for account management matters such as maintenance of customer investment accruals, debtor management and the control of below-the-line selling expenses
• Facilitate all budgeting and forecasting processes
• Ensure interdependent accuracy of master data, as well as version control, of a variety of different business support tools such as forecasts and budgets
• Analysis of brand and product level margin performance

Person profile

• Degree qualified, with a preferred Finance / Accounting focus
• Desire to study towards CIMA Certification
• A high level of attention to detail and accuracy
• A high standard of IT proficiency
• A progressive desire for a career in a commercial environment is essential
• Ability to present financial data in an easy to digest manner
• Be creative and think outside the box - positive change mentality
• Ability to thrive in a changing work environment
• A self-motivated, highly logical approach to work
• Deadline driven and capable of working under pressure
