The SAP Test Lead opportunity:

We are creating a new test-focused SAP practice, delivering a standard core of SAP test practice processes across the group based on SAP Success Factors and S4Hana. This is also an opportunity to modernise the testing approach for SAP projects through the standardisation of SAP Solution Manager.

As part of this programme, we are recruiting an experienced SAP Test Lead. The role will principally be based on client sites across the UK, with some home working opportunities, where the project can accommodate such flexibility.

This successful person will be the on-site testing lead for clients during the course of projects. The role will start with ensuring that we enter and exit the various test phases with a fit for purpose functional build end product. This will include working with the business to ensure that the testing requirements are met and developing the high level testing scenarios and the test execution plans.

You will be working closely with other 3rd party suppliers and key project SMEs. The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring that the appropriate testing tools are in place and set up correctly. The successful candidate will use these tools to manage the test execution cycle and the management of defects and progress status reporting. Good defect management experience is essential to the role.

Overall objectives for this role are:

+ Be a hands-on test lead with good project management skills.
+ Responsible for the testing workstream on behalf of the project .
+ Manage the execution of all the key testing cycles for the client .
+ Liaise with 3rd party suppliers and the business to ensure that the testing expectations are met.
+ Ensure that the entry criteria into each test phase is complete.
+ Manage the successful exit from test phases.
+ Create a strategy document, high level test scenarios and test execution plans for each test phase.
+ Ensuring that the testing tools are in place.
+ Ensuring that the test scripts are complete and fit for purpose.
+ Provide daily / weekly status reports.
+ Manage project test resources.
+ Be the point of escalation for testing related issues

About You:

+ Knowledge and experience of testing gained from a large ERP transformation project ideally SAP / Successfactors.
+ Any knowledge of Solution Manager.
+ Experience of working with a system integrator.
+ Experience with working through various testing cycles e.g. SIT, UAT and OAT.
+ A number of years of testing experience, ideally from a strong SAP background.
+ At least 3 full ERP project lifecycles.
+ Experience of leading triage meetings and creating daily / weekly reports.
+ Understanding of SAP ACTIVATE methodology.
+ Managing project test resources.
+ Experience of working with an SI with an offshore functional team.
+ Good customer facing skills with attention to detail.
+ Stakeholder management
