Lead Accountant

My client are looking to recruit a Lead Accountant into their team reporting into the Head of Regional Accounting. This role has become vacant due to an internal promotion. This is a unique opportunity to join the team as it very rare for my client to recruit at this level externally due to a wealth of internal promotion opportunities.

Description

• P&L delivered within region expectation
• Tax Pack preparation and liaison with Tax team
• Intercompany review and reconciliation
• Statutory audit support and review for regional entities
• Lead, mentor and develop a diverse professional team- 3/4 direct reports plus supervision of a larger team of 6/7
• Assign roles and responsibilities within the team as well as allocate tasks as they arise
• Ensure all financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted accounting policies and procedures and are reported within the deadline
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and issues identified by respective teams
• Collaborates with other department managers to support overall company goals and objectives
• Continuous improvement mindset. Ability to identify and drive change where necessary

Profile

• Qualified accountant
• Experience in industry within a large business, even better if this is oil & gas, or marine, manufacturing, engineering
• Someone with strong management skills
• Driven and ambitious candidate, looking to progress their career within a global business

Job Offer

• Salary: £50,000-£55,000, plus £6,000 car allowance
