Recruitment 4 Education are currently recruiting for a Humanities teacher starting after Easter or as soon as possible on a long-term 12 month maternity cover contract which could potentially progress on to a permenant contract. This is a full-time, five days per week position working at a very good secondary school located in Handsworth. The position is open to NQT's to apply as well as experienced teachers.

We are seeking an outstanding fully qualified QTS/QTLS Teacher to work on a full-time contract who has experience teaching KS3/KS4 Geography and/or History, with experience of teaching Key Stage 5 a desirbale but not essential criteria. The teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering the highest-quality lessons and achieving excellent results for their higher-level ability students whilst also motivating students currently under achieving.

The pupils you will be teaching have a variety of abilities, with the school having higher ability pupils, where you will be expected to make lessons challenging and engaging for all pupils.

The school is looking for a well-rounded Humanities Teacher who can be adaptable and ensure the whole classroom is engaged in lessons, so you will be expected to display excellent classroom management skills and be confident managing challenging behaviour.

Requirements

* QTS/QTLS and a Degree in Humanities is also favourable

* Minimum of 2 years relevant UK Classroom teaching experience / NQT's are encouraged to apply

* Experienced in teaching Humanities subjects to Key Stages 3/4

* Start date April 2022 or ASAP
