Registered Mental Health Nurse | Band 6 |

Are you an experienced Band 6 registered mental health nurse who is passionate about ensuring patients receive a high level of care within Mental Health Services?

The Access Team is a busy and fast-paced service that provides a single point of entry and first level gatekeeping into mental health services in Stockport. We screen and triage all referrals into the service. We undertake telephone triages, urgent and routine face to face assessments and onward referral to the most appropriate service, getting people the right care, at the right time and by the right service.


undertake comprehensive assessments of the health and social care needs of individuals who are referred to the service,
comprehensive risk assessments.
coordinate assessment clinics and prioritise appointments.

Hours: Full time - Monday - Friday 37.5 hours


*Have a comprehensive knowledge and broad level of experience working with various mental health problems

* Be confident in making thorough assessments and advising on next steps

* Be an excellent communicator, able to liaise effectively with other professionals

* Be committed to providing a high level of support to those requiring urgent care

*Proven experience at band 6

*NMC Registration

*A mental health nursing qualification
