Learning Support Assistant**

* LSA needed

* Experience needed with SEN

* £65-£80 per day

The school I am working with is located in the city of Bristol, they cater to a variety of students with needs including Autism spectrum disorder, Social emotional mental health and Attention deficit hyperactive disorder. The school are a really inclusive and welcoming provision that offer outdoor learning in order to create a therapeutic and calming environment for the students.

The school is set on really lovely grounds and is surrounded by trees, they believe in giving back what you take from the earth and are very focused on farming and growing their own food. As well as farming the curriculum also involves animal care, forestry, woodwork and weaving. Their main focus is to ensure that the students learn life skills that they can take into their future education and employments.

The head teacher is looking for someone that enjoys being outdoors and is very passionate about helping students with their education. Your role will be to offer support for students 1:1 and with in small groups of two. You will need to be willing to build strong relationships with the students and are able to bring creativity into the role. The students that attend this provision may have come from lots of different backgrounds and may have suffered trauma in their lives, so you will need to be resilient to challenging behavior and an empathetic and caring person.
