SEN Teaching Assistant
We are working with a small village primary school near Wetherby. The school aims above all, to ensure that that Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs are met for every child daily. They subscribe to the idea, when children feel safe and secure, and have the right mind-set, they are more able to tackle the curriculum, learn to the best of their ability and truly flourish in their primary education.
This Primary school hope to find a dedicated 1-2-1 teaching assistant to work closely with a young girl with ADHD and some comorbid SEMH needs. Work will be outside of the classroom in the morning, but the overall aim will to be to learner back into the classroom engaging with their peers. Though this is predominantly a 1-2-1 role, the school has informed us there will be opportunities for general classroom work going forward.
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent contract
Working Hours: Full Time Hours (8:30am-3:30pm), 5 days a week, Term Time Only
Pay £70-90 / day
Working on a 1-2-1 basis with children with SEN
Supporting students with challenging behaviours
Small group work and intervention support responsibilities
Required Skills & Experience:
Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant qualification in SEND support work
Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
Previous experience working with SEND children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
