We are currently looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work with young people with Social Emotional and Mental Health Needs at a specialist school in Bromley.
In this role you will be supporting a range of students on a 1 to 1 basis and in groups during a range of academic and vocational lessons. You will be working with students who have SEMH needs due to family issues, loss of a parent, gang culture etc and must be confident in supporting young people with these experiences. The school are ideally looking for a learning support assistant who has experience in youth work, mentoring or community support or within a similar school setting.
You need to have a positive and resilient approach with the ability to build relationships and de-escalate situations.
This role is offered on a temp to perm contract with an immediate start.
