My client is the leading and longest established Highland and Formal Wear specialists based in Glasgow City Centre. They specialise in the supply of highland outfits to hire for weddings and other special events.
Alongside being the best in the business, they are owned by Europe's largest Hirewear company, and are focused on sustainability which has shown in their recent wins of multiple environmental business awards.
The role of the Retail Assistant will initially be on a temporary basis, with a view to being made permanent at a later date. You will responsible for providing excellent customer service to your customers who are visiting the store to choose their perfect outfits for their wedding and other special events.
In order to succeed in this role, you will be customer focused, sales driven and have a positive can-do attitude.
Your duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Attending to customers requirements whilst they are visiting the store
Measuring customers for their chosen outfit and providing expert advice
Updating customers on their orders
Ensuring that you provide excellent customer service on every interaction
Filing customer records and updating systems
Stock control and counting
Carrying outfits from the stock room to the shop floor for customers
Assisting customers with collections and returns
In return, the Retail Assistant will receive:
The real living wage hourly pay rate of £9.90
Shifts are 5 days over 7
A dedicated consultant within Search
Full training provided
Temporary assignment initially, with the view to becoming permanent
The successful Retail Assistant will be confident, considered and engaging, and will have a real enthusiasm and passion for delivering excellent service and products to your customers.
You will also:
Have excellent customer service experience, preferably within a retail environment
Be professional, confident and friendly
Have an organised approach to your working day
Have an understanding of the hirewear market (advantageous)
Have clear and concise communication skills both verbally and written
Have a positive, can-do attitude
