If you are looking to join a progressive, forward-thinking firm of Certified Accountants based in Hertfordshire and are an experienced and qualified Senior Accountant/Audit Manager, then this is a fantastic opportunity.
Location: Hatfield (office based)
Salary: will be dependant on experience circa £45,000 - £60,000
Benefits include

A further 1 day's accrued holiday for every 2 years of service

Client referral fee (15% of 1st years fee)
Hours: Mon-Fri 9am -5pm
Reporting to: Partner
Senior Accountant/ Audit Manager
To be successful in this role you will need to be highly client focused, and a confident communicator with experience managing and leading a team.
You will have experience in managing multiple client portfolios.
You will have experience performing at a high level of efficiency, delivering a range of compliance and consultancy led work including ad hoc projects.
A general practice background with accounts and corporation tax experience is essential.
Ideally, you will have exposure at performing financial audits.
The main responsibilities for this Senior Accountant job include:
Managing a client portfolio (accounts, corporation tax, audits). A portfolio suitable to your current skill set can be planned with a view to development.
Acting as a key contact for those clients, delivering on multiple assignments to agreed deadlines independently and alongside the Engagement Partner.
Trusted to manage projects fully and to a specific budget.
Actively seeking opportunities to contribute to the firm`s growth and management.
Responsibility for the review of a portfolio of VAT tax returns.
Assisting with reviewing and finalising Financial Accounts, monthly Management Accounts, Tax Returns and Audits.
· Taking responsibility of your team, providing guidance and development of junior staff to help their personal development and career progression.
The successful candidate will:
- ACA/ ACCA qualification
- CTA would be a great to have but not essential
- Have experience working within a busy practice.
- Display unquestionable integrity, excellent verbal, and written communication.
- Demonstrate strong logical and analytical skills.
- Have experience in managing and developing staff.
- Knowledge of Xero
- Have financial auditing experience
- Experience of managing multiple client portfolios
