Carrington West are assisting their local authority client based in the Midlands in the search for a Development Management Team Leader to join their Town Planning Service on an initial 6-month contract - OUTSIDE IR35.

We are looking for an experienced qualified Town Planner and Leader who has strong day-to-day experience of Development Management and leadership in the public sector. You will be required to undertake the normal duties for a post of this kind, including signing off planning application reports, allocation and managing a small caseload of applications (Maximum of 20).

My client is looking for an experienced team leader with experience within Development Management. You should hold a Post-graduate degree in Town and Country Planning, Regeneration or a related discipline. Achieved or eligible for chartered membership of the Royal Town Institute (RTPI).

This contract will last for an initial 6 month period, however, it is possible that this will roll on. Office visits will be restricted but there is an expectation of 1 day per/week or fortnightly.

The council are looking for candidates who will be able to hit the ground running so the ability to demonstrate experience in determining planning applications, providing advise at Planning Committee, managing employees, and delivering service improvements are key.

Carrington West Pay Rate - £55per/hour (OUTSIDE IR35)
