Are you an experienced IT Project Manager with experience in SAP integrations?

The SAP Project Manager will ensure their tower has an integrated delivery plan incorporating all deliverables from the functional areas, Buying & Merchandising, Supply, and Finance, Data & Analytics for the SAP programme and any other Portfolio projects/BAU Change Requests. They will support the prioritisation of work and management of the RAID Log ensuring all governance is adhered to.

The SAP Project Manager will join our Future Programme - which is our separation from Walmart Programme - The largest retail transformation programme in the world.

Your Role:

  • Creating and delivering project plans and prioritisation of project activity to meet the overall business project objectives.
  • Delivery of projects in line with Programme Delivery model tower and portfolio priorities
  • Manage the acquisition, installation and configuration of appropriate hardware and associated infrastructure, to support the project deliverables
  • Manage release management to assist with patching, bug fix, and enhancement requirements identified during test cycles.
  • Sizing and performance testing associated with SAP and impacted environments
  • Responsible for developing and managing the integrated design solution for interfaces, data migration and supporting systems across the programme landscape
  • Managing the project stage gates following the Asda project management best practice and the Technology PMO Lifecycle methodology
  • Identifying and communicating project risks, concerns and issues and escalate to the Programme Manager
  • Understanding, prioritising and managing the changes to scope, timescales, costs, resourcing, and 3rd parties
  • Delivering products in a serviceable state including hand-over to service support teams
  • Ensuring compliance with local and global Technology standards
  • Negotiating and influencing across several different geographies and time zones to remove political, financial and resource constraints
  • Negotiating and influencing contracts with 3rd parties (financial & legal)
  • Preparing and delivering regular project communications to all key stakeholders
  • Maintaining the project risk log, ensuring appropriate actions are in place to manage the risks per their priority
  • Tracking and managing the project budget in line with PMO guidance with revenue and capital budgets

About You:

  • Good communication and planning skills.
  • Ability to provide support during critical stages of the project.
  • Good knowledge of the existing George technical infrastructure and broader Asda technical infrastructure required for the portfolio
  • Good knowledge of SAP database administration and existing Asda/Walmart solutions.
  • Good knowledge of sizing/ capacity planning, performance testing and associated tools
