The successful purchasing manager will be responsible for:
  • Delivering key business changes and improvement programmes within the business to achieve growth plans
  • Developing and implementing cost saving procurement strategies
  • Identifying strategic suppliers both domestically and worldwide
  • End to end supplier vetting
  • Managing and improving stock roll-out and OTD
  • Management of contracts at various stages of contract lifecycle requiring strong commercial acumen
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders to deliver desired business outcomes.
  • managing Direct Production spend and the Indirect Spend
  • Coordinate site input to Group Projects
  • Manage the Site Purchasing team
  • New Supplier On boarding: Sign off / approval
  • Track related markets and feed stock cost drivers


The successful candidate will have:
  • Previous experience within a similar role with clear evidence of significant cost savings
  • Proven success in business improvement
  • Strong analytical and drive to achieve success through change
  • A results orientated mindset, with the ability to work under pressure
  • Strong negotiating ability. Must work with supplier and drive cost saving initiatives
  • The ability to communicate to upper management and other stakeholders on cost savings in clear and concise terms
  • Ideally experience working with suppliers worldwide
  • Focused to drive out waste, and target the value added

Job Offer

The role offers a salary up to 50k plus additional benefits.
