The Job Role
Providing technical support and assistance to team members as well as performing normal configuration operations.
Job purpose
To ensure Configuration work is completed to required standards of quality within specified timeframes.
Key Responsibilities
The role is key in the Configuration Services team and is required to work closely with the Configuration Delivery Manager, Engineers, Customers, Services & Operations Team and the
Sales function of the business, working towards delivering high quality services exceeding customers' expectations. Exhibiting leadership qualities while resolving technical issues and serving as a link between subordinates and upper management

Key Responsibilities
Configure and prepare machines for hardware and software installation.
Install and configure software products as per customer's specifications.
Assist with the installation/imaging, configuration of desktop computers, laptops & peripheral equipment, and software.
Liaising with the team supervisor with technical queries.
Test parts and software where required.
Assist with any other tasks in the workshop such as packing and unpacking machines.
Maintain high levels of quality within configuration.
Complete a minimum number of units (including installations, repairs, parts testing etc) per month.
Install and configure units within the quoted or agreed time limits.
Ensure that all procedures and checks are followed so there are no missing items or parts.
Keep management informed of any delays or problems.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of Client devices, hardware and software and a detailed knowledge of the XMA product range.
Perform other tasks in the department as deemed necessary
Additional information
Excellent knowledge of computer hardware
Experience in configuration, Image building, SCCM, Autopilot
Experience troubleshooting and replacing hardware on both desktop and laptop PC's.
Knowledge of PC & Server hardware, computer architecture and MS, Apple &Google operating systems.
Minimum 2 years knowledge of IT industry.
Good knowledge of server configuration.
Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.
