Excellent opportunity for a talented person with a passion for Engineering to join a leading manufacturer as a junior CNC Programmer!

Company

The company is the market leader in the UK for the manufacturers and installation of bespoke timber handrails. They offer a very specialist product to the end market and in the last year alone they have worked on Google, Apple, the Houses of Parliament, the US embassy and scores of luxury homes.

Role and responsibilities

Due to further growth, they are now looking for a talented person who has a passion for manufacturing/engineering to join their team as an Apprentice CNC Programmer to work on the CAD/CAM production teams creating programs for 5 axis CNC milling machines at the forefront of woodworking technology.

You will help to produce bespoke handrails and other items for some of the most prestigious construction projects in the UK. The role will be 100% PC based, programming with their CAM software, understanding various manufacturing methods, tooling etc and as such have a proven excellent computer skill.

Candidate Requirements
  • GCSE's including minimum C in Maths, English & Science
  • Genuine interest in engineering
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Eager to learn
  • B-Tech (or equivalent) in engineering field an advantage, but not essential

Hours: Monday to Friday, office based

Salary: £19,000 per year plus perks and excellent progression.
