Finance Assistant required to work in a 12 month contract to cover maternity leave, 37.5 hours per week. Based in in County Durham this is an established independent business and regarded one of the UK's leading importers and wholesalers.JobThe post holder will be required to undertake:All elements of purchase ledger processing:Matching invoices to PO's within the system and processing (querying invoices when required)Manual entry of invoices where no PO on systemTwice weekly payments sheetsAllocate payments within system and issue remittance advice to vendorsNew supplier credit application formsReconciliation of credit cards (physical / virtual)Responding to vendor queriesProviding cover for additional business within the group as an when requiredDaily / monthly reconciliation of invoice finance facilityLoan against import applications for bulk inventoryAssisting with the review of general ledger entries at month end for accuracy and with the preparation of journals, accruals and prepayments analysisExperience RequiredApplicants will be ideally be part qualified AAT AccountantExperience working within a busy finance functionDetailed knowledge of purchase ledger processingAttention to detail, organisational, planning and analytical skillsExperience using Microsoft Excel is essential and a working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central would be advantageousRemunerationUp to £21,000 per annumThis is a temporary position and Corepeople Recruitment Limited will be acting as an employment business for the supply of temporary workers to the hirer.By applying for this job you accept the T&C's, Privacy Policy and Disclaimers which can be found on our website.
