My high-profile Energy client is looking for a IT project Manager to join their team who will Responsible for improving the process of managing small change, responsible for the prioritisation, resourcing, delivery and reporting on IT small change systems enhancements. Ensuring that changes meet the desired business outcomes to the agreed time, cost and quality standards. They will manage all aspects of the small change, from approval, through to handing over to the service team and business run. Through the effective management of assigned resources (both internal and external), approved suppliers and allocated budgets.

Key Accountabilities:

* Ensure robust small change management process in place including resourcing capacity, budget allocation and management

* Ensure resources are committed and lead the matrix team to meet agreed timescales, assisting the team in removing blockers to their delivery

* Ensure quality plans and standards (particularly around security and data) in place and appropriate to level of testing required for the change

* Monitor costs, timescales, resourcing, and act on any deviation from agreed tolerances through close management of risks and issues

* Prioritisation of small change

* Delivery of changes expected outcomes and benefits within agreed timescales, approved budget and to an appropriate level of quality

* Provide reporting and transparency on the status of small changes to the relevant stakeholder community, written and verbal

* Planning schedule of work to be done and who is going to do it through resourcing appropriately

* Redirecting change back to projects if complexity and scope increase

* Manage dependencies between other small changes and larger projects

* Work with stakeholder at all levels in IT and business

* Management of small change <£50k as part of budgeted change plan pots aligned to the various Business units

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:


* Demonstrable experience in proactively managing and delivering all aspects of IT enabled change

* Proactively manages change scope, identifies risk and issues, and devises contingency plans.

* Ability to identify and resolve issues and conflicts

* Used to engaging with 3rd party Suppliers

* Ability to prioritise, plan, schedule, and track change delivery status

* Evidence of formal training and/or qualifications (to practitioner level) in project management, APM desired.

* Planning, organizational, and leadership skills.

* Good verbal and written communication skills.

* Experience of working with business owners, stakeholders and subject matter experts in a collaborative matrix environment.

* Ability to work in a team environment matrix of permanent and contract resource.

* Ability to work on own initiative but knows when to seek support.


* Knowledge of Energy Retail for business / Energy generation sector.

* Experience of managing small delivery projects.

* Knowledge of project management processes

* Qualification APM/PMI/Prince II

* Microsoft Project On-line, Microsoft Office tools, Service Now
