Location - Manchester

Salary - 23k - 27k + Bonus

Our commercial team is there to connect that great work with brands, agencies and organisations of all sizes.

KOMI is on the hunt for an NCTJ-qualified Senior Content Editor who has a passion for trending news. They will have a strong journalism background and be comfortable curating, implementing, and monitoring social-first editorial strategies across all platforms. They will also have the ability to highlight optimisation opportunities and support the Head of Editorial to ensure the delivery of the department's targets.

Objectives of this Role -

• Responsible for building daily content schedule and ensuring selection of stories delivers results needed to hit daily traffic targets

• Source, write, and sub-edit articles

• Mentor junior staff

• Produce weekly reports for line manager using data from Google Analytics

• Produce daily Swipe Ups using Photoshop

Necessary skills -

• NCTJ diploma (sound media law knowledge is vital to this role)

• Passion for trending news

• Excellent editorial judgment

• Ability to source, package, and schedule content, using a range of tools such as CrowdTangle and Creator Studio, on It's Gone Viral's social media platforms to deliver results needed

• Strong proficiency with Google Analytics

• Thorough understanding of Facebook's algorithm

• Proficient in Photoshop

• Experience working at a target-driven social media publisher

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, breaking news environment
