A lovely special needs school based in Leighton Buzzard are looking for energetic and enthusiastic people to work as a Teaching Assistants, specialising in working 1:1 or in groups with Students with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

As part of your role you will be working one- or two-to-one with children between the ages of 4-19 depending on what class you work with, the role involves assisting the pupils with their daily routine at school. The level and nature of support the child requires will depend on their particular needs and age group, so there is scope to assign a child/or children to you that match your particular skill set.

SEN Teaching Assistant - Requirement

Positive and proactive
Calm and caring
A friendly team player
Able to work full time Monday-Friday between 8:30am - 3:30pm
Passionate about working in SEND
Minimum of 3 GCSE's C or above
Preferable skills but not essential

Speech and Language e.g. Makaton, PECs, BSL
Team Teach or other positive behaviour management strategies or training courses
Training or work experience related to working with children/adults with ASD
Experience working with children who have ECH or IEPs
