REED Further Education are recruiting an experienced Horticulture / Landscape Teacher to be based in West Yorkshire.
Our client is looking for an Horticulture / Landscape Teacher to be based at a HMYOI, who work with Young People aged 14 to 18 improving theirs and their families lives whilst making a positive contribution to the community.

The successful Horticulture / Landscape Teacher will have the following skills and qualifications:
- Must have a teaching qualification - minimum Cert Ed, PGCE or equivalent
- Hold QTS / QTLS
- Have a degree in subject specialism or be willing to work toward one
- A Clear enhanced DBS or willingness to get one
- Hold at least a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
The role will involve:
- Enable progression through accredited/ structured non-accredited programmes designed to meet the needs and interests of our learners.
- Deliver high quality, learner focused vocational training to meet contractual requirements and Awarding Body standards, in line with policies and procedures.
- Teach using a variety of methods, including formal lessons, discussions, practical activities, projects and assignments, taking into account the differences between individual Young People
- Differentiate lesson plans to meet individual Young People's needs including special educational needs
- Marking and feedback of Young People's class work and assessments
