Elevation Accountancy & Finance are proud to be supporting a successful business in their search for a Credit & Risk Analyst based in Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a hard-working and forward-thinking Finance department where you will be given exposure within an exciting and fast paced environment.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a strong level of experience in credit control/credit risk to join a friendly team and be part of a fast paced finance function to take on the responsibility of the smooth and accurate performance of all credit risk, debt recovering, litigation and related reporting activity ensuring timely and accurate decision making across the Group.

The successful candidate will be part of a growing accounts team and therefore be expected to bring proactive ideas, as well as plenty of enthusiasm to support the business during this period of growth.

Reporting to the Credit & Risk Team Leader, duties will include (but not limited to):

* Analyse financial information to assess credit risk and authorise credit lines in accordance with policy and appropriate approvals
* Provide analysis, support, and recommendations to managers when higher level limits and risks are presented
* Assess business cases requesting increased payment terms and seek approval when required
* Work closely with clients to achieve credit solutions, maximise presented opportunities and minimise potential risk
* Produce and provide general risk analysis reports as and when required
* Prepare daily functional scorecards for review by the Financial Services management team
* Assess ledger risk throughout EMEA and provide reports to the Credit Control team in order to drive the appropriate collection activity
* Be a subject matter expert in risk analysis for assigned countries and take ownership for the service levels delivered
* Be an expert in fraud screening and implement best practise to minimise fraud risk
* Review orders over credit limit within agreed service level agreements to assess risk and release when appropriate
* Process credit card transactions within agreed service level agreements
* Be proactive in suggesting and implementing improvements to procedures and policies to ensure best practice is always applied

Person specification:

* Experience of working within a Credit Risk/Analytical position
* Working towards a recognised accounting qualification
* Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
* Good communicator - ability to demonstrate clarity and confidence, both verbal & written
* Ability to confidently liaise with individuals at varying levels
* Ability to work well within a team environment
