MASS are looking to recruit a Solutions Architect in Bristol
We have a unique Solution Architect opening in our vastly intelligent Bristol team, working on an IT convergence project around a specialist defence capability. Working alongside domain experts, security/systems engineers, and Defence industry partners, you will help to deliver essential services to the MoD that preserve national security.
We're expecting that you'll be looking for a team where you will be respected as an expert in your field, where you can be recognised for all the effort you put into getting things right and where you can physically see that you're making a difference.
How your experience will be utilised
Expertly establishing MoD client requirements
Providing specialist advice on development and delivery of solutions and capability increments against the architecture roadmap
Producing high quality network, cryptography and security architecture and high/low level design documentation
Completing fit-for-purpose testing and reviewing
Managing risks, issues and opportunities to delivery and deployment
Ensuring thorough record-keeping

We're expecting that you've done this role before, so you'll know how to do it whilst spinning multiple plates:
Extensive technical architecture design for complex security, system and network services.
Excellent understanding of security, system and network technologies.
Architecting for large scale, high capacity and high availability services.
Working with clients to understand user needs and make recommendations to meet business challenges and opportunities.
Working with industry partners and suppliers to translate complex business requirements into high/low level designs.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to write high quality architecture documentation from scratch.
Working in large programmes using a mixture of agile and waterfall methodologies to deliver complex solutions.
Excellent interpersonal skills to quickly develop strong working relationships in high-pressure environments.
Using enterprise architecture tools such as MooD, Sparx EA or Archimate to support business and IT stakeholders with strategically driven planning, analysis, design and execution.
Due to the nature of the projects you'll be working on, you must be a UK National, and be willing to undergo and maintain appropriate UK government Security Clearance
This role is a hybrid role.
Competitive salary: £70,(Apply online only)-£80,(Apply online only) per annum
