This is a short term contract role however we are also recruiting for a Maths Teacher for a permanent job role for a September start:

This particular role however, is a planned absence. The teacher is taking a Term 6 sabbatical so this job role will be specifically to work & teach Maths to Year 8/9 and will include some computing classes as well (negotiable.) Thanks to the nature of the cover, The schemes of work, planning and most of the lesson plans are complete so the main requirement is delivering the lessons and marking.

This truly is a rewarding place to work. The school is brand new and purpose built with specific design features for the learners. The recently appointed headteacher follows on from the previous successful headteacher and is continuing to offer outstanding opportunities for the learners, but also maintaining a highly positive, friendly & welcoming work environment for colleagues. The original headteacher implemented a scheme of positive behaviour strategies, resulting in a massive reduction in student behaviour incidents, almost eliminating physical interventions & exclusions and vastly improving staff attendance as a result. Building on this the now school employ a restorative approach with students & parents to resolve issues and treat incidents as learning opportunities.

Applicants with Team Teach training may be at an advantage however free training will be provided for the successful applicant. The school operate on a transparent and collaborative basis across departments and between staff & senior leadership team. Ideas are shared and everyone has the opportunity to enhance the working environment and student opportunities. Overall this is a highly positive environment to work in for both staff & students.

If you are looking for an opportunity where you can make see the clear difference that you are making to students whilst working alongside a strong teaching & support staff team, this is the job you should apply for.

Teaching staff should have good previous SEND experience and knowledge, specifically in ASD/ASC, and how to adapt the education approach to ensure that high-quality learning takes place.
