Stores Coordinator (Manufacturing/Engineering)

Peterhead

£10 to £11.96 Per Hour DOE + 30 Days Holiday + Pension + Overtime Paid at Premium Rate + Progression Opportunity

Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm or 8am to 5pm (Some working flexibility required).

Engineering Stores Coordinator required for a market leading manufacturer who have plans for significant growth and investment. They are a successful independent company who offer a personable working environment with great opportunities for training, development and progression.

The Successful Engineering Stores Coordinator will have previous experience working in a Stores environment. You will be experienced using computerised purchasing and stock control systems. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills. You will have a strong ability for planning and organisation. Those with experience within an Engineering environment will be at an advantage, but those with relevant experience from any background are encouraged to apply.

This role in the long term has the opportunity to progress within the company to supervisor level.

The Stores Coordinator Role:

Providing and maintaining the store's inventory system.
Carrying out regular stock checks, maintaining stock levels and providing reports.
Keeping the stores neat, tidy and organised.
Processing Engineering Parts requisitions, quotes, purchase orders, delivery notes and invoices.
Maintaining the engineering budget spreadsheet.
Liaising with suppliers, ordering parts in the most cost effective way in line with engineering requirements and challenging discrepancies.
Checking goods delivered against supplier's paperwork and the computerised system.
Updating computer system with delivery details.
Preparing paperwork for returning goods to suppliers.
Managing the booking out/in system for all engineers.
Carrying out general tasks as required by Engineering Management.
Participating in keeping all work areas clean, safe and tidy.
Reporting to Engineering Management any issues which are likely to affect the smooth running of the store.
Identifying any training requirements which may be beneficial to the role or the department.
Maintaining a good working relationship within the department and factory.
The Successful Stores Coordinator:
