Office Angels are currently recruiting for Temporary Accounts Assistant to join our client based in Edinburgh, City Centre. This is a full time role Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm. This role will start ASAP for initially 2 months but may be opportunity to extend. Paying £12.50 per hour.

The main purpose of the role is to support the Senior Accountant in the Control, Banking and Financial Accounting processes and other areas as required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- SAP/PROCUREMENT SUPPORT; Control the process in the UK for the creation of all Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders and Variations ensuring that correct approval is received for each and the correct evidence is provided by procurement and contract manager. Ensure these can be evidenced to Internal Audit as required.

- BANKS; Manage payment and collection invoices for the Business Unit companies (remittances, transfers, writing checks, etc.) and process payments to landowners for the right to use their ground (calculation, invoices, send letters and pay the landowner).

- FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING; Prepare the bookkeeping (enter collections, payments, expenses, scheduling, invoices sent and received, control of assets, etc.) for all the Business Unit companies, archive and update the necessary financial documentation, reconcile bank accounts and suppliers, provide information to prepare the documents necessary for monthly reporting, as well as complete the official books for the Register of Companies, receive and check the payment and collection invoices for all the Group companies, follow the returns on investments and the orders, to guarantee that the financial statements give a true and fair view of the Company.

- TAX; Assist with the preparation of the VAT returns and corporation tax computations.

Skills and Experience:

- University Degree in Accountancy.

- Accounting experience within an Accounting Practice or Industry Accounting department.

- Experience in the renewable energy sector considered a plus.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Great attention to detail.

- Ability to prioritise.
