Position: Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages

Location: Berkshire

Pay: £153-£234

About the school:

A well-established co-educational academy within easy reach of M4 are looking for a teacher of Languages to join their team starting September 2022. The school strives to "enable every student to fulfil their ambition and find a pathway that motivates and challenges them"

"Last year 75% of our GCSE students achieved grades 4+ in English with 25% achieving grades 7-9."

The school are looking for individuals who:
  • Plan and deliver lessons to pupils
  • Work closely with specialist lead.
  • Good organisation and planning skills
  • A well-developed understanding of current educational issues, theory and practice, with particular regard to the National Curriculum, relevant subject area, learning and personal development.
  • The teaching should enable pupils to express their ideas and thoughts in another language and to understand and respond to its speakers, both in speech and in writing
  • The teaching should also support pupils with the ability to speak with increasing confidence, fluency and spontaneity, finding ways of communicating what they want to say, including through discussion and asking questions, and continually improving the accuracy of their pronunciation and intonation.

The right candidate will have the following:
  • ECT/QTS/PGCE qualification (essential)
  • Hold a DBS on the update service or be prepared to undertake a new one
  • The right to work within the UK
