JustOT are looking to recruit a HCPC registered Band 6 Occupational Therapist to work for one of our well respected clients based in Nottinghamshire.

Rates: £24 - £26 per hour (UMBRELLA)
Essential: HCPC Registration
Hours: 37.5 a week

Skills required / Qualifications needed:
- Mental Health experience essential, CAMHS experience preferable.
- Good communicator, able to manage risk and provide harm minimisation, be able to deal with challenging conversations, be able to identify mental health presentations & screen referrals.

Role Summary:
To work as part of the wider Nottinghamshire multi-disciplinary Community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team to enhance and improve the lives of Children and Young People who are experiencing mental and emotional ill health.

The role is non patient facing within the Single Point of Access CAMHS Service, providing referral screening, triage, obtaining contextual informtaion, providing minimizing risk advice, psychoeducation, consultation to children, young people, families, careers, and professionals, directing the referral to the most appropriate service in order to meet the presenting issues based on needs led decision making.

Role Context:
The Community CAMHS Specialist Mental Health Practitioner will work as an integral member of the multidisciplinary SPA Team, offering referral screening, triage, and brief evidence-based interventions through psychoeducation, harm reduction advice and containment to children, young people, their family/carers, and other professionals.
You will be experienced in identifying emotional and mental health presentations and in the formulation and be able to delivery appropriate evidence based brief advice over the telephone, as well as identifying and responding to any safeguarding concerns.
You will work with a variety of agencies including social care, other health agencies, education/schools, acute hospitals, and adult mental health services to ensure a quality service is provided.
You will enhance access to mental health service provision for children and young people for whom it is clinically indicated to allow timely assessment, formulation, and evidence-based intervention within a multi-agency framework, whilst using the THRIVE framework to influence clinical decision making.You will have knowledge to CAMHS Choice and Partnership Approach framework, as well as CAMHS treatment pathways, NICE guidelines and up to date evidence-based interventions, research, and training. Collaborate and liaise with agencies, creating positive and helpful relationships is an essential element of the role and support the eradication of stigma associated with mental health services. You will support partnership working through offering children, young people and family's choice and flexibility in the service that they receive and promote the safety and welfare of service-users and their family. Maintain a professional attitude so to be a representative of the wider CAMHS service and be an inclusive team member.
