Our client manufacture electric powered wheel chairs and have a need for a associate product specialist for their Marketing Department
Aim of Role: Assisting the Product Managers to deliver new products to market, supporting the introduction by managing the administration elements of the NPI (New Product Introduction) process; from initial marketing research and benchmarking to developing technical specification, creating key technical / sales data sheets, setting market pricing and data management. Also supporting the Marketing Manager in applying for UK & Eire Tenders.
Job Title: Associate Product Manager
Reporting To: Marketing Manager
Hours of Work: As the business requires, with normal day being 09.00 to 17.00
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
Assisting the Product Managers to introduce new products to market by supporting with all administrative elements of the NPI process:
Conducting comprehensive competitor benchmarking (technical, key features to pricing) and presenting findings to the Product and Marketing Manager
Initial creation and maintenance of product order forms
Working with the Data Management team to set up the UK systems for launch readiness
Creating and managing product technical bulletin and discontinuation notices
Supporting the Marketing Manager with UK & Eire Tenders:
Reviewing the Tender Inboxes and flagging potential tender opportunities
Assisting the Marketing Manager with administrative tasks for tender applications
Supporting the Product Management team with the collation of Products for tender review
Assisting the Product & Marketing Department with general business support tasks:
Answer product technical queries which can not be answered by the Technical Service Centre
Supporting Order Processing with product/configurator queries and providing a resolution
Management and booking in/out of Marketing Demo Kit
Collation of products for events with the assistance of Product Managers
Aiding the Product Managers with other general administrative tasks
Conducting bi-yearly market benchmarking to optimize price positioning
Aiding the implementation of sales development projects by managing the administrative tasks:
Creating and continual maintenance of customer specific order forms
Creating costing models and/or option mix reports for specific products / offers
Optimizing spares pricing to ensure maximized margin and correct market pricing
