Position: Senior Network Engineer
Location: The role requires working at a variety of locations and travel should be expected, including overnight stays. Most of the travel is within the UK however on occasion the role holder may be required to spend extended time in other countries
Salary: £50K negotiable dependent on experience

SSS Public Safety is a market leading developer and supplier of mission critical solutions to the public sector including all the UKs blue light emergency services enabling full end to end incident communications and management, ultimately helping them to save lives. Additionally, our customer portfolio extends to many significant non blue light, Government and non-government service providers including British Transport Police (BTP), Highways England (HE), Civil Nuclear Police (CNC), Ministry of Defence Police (MDP) and UK Coastguard (HMCG). Globally we have a client base extending throughout Europe, Africa, Middle East, Asia, Australasia, and North America.
Proven experience performing network and security maintenance and system upgrades including IOS upgrades, service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations
Proven network engineering to ensure customer system delivery for availability and reliability
CCIE Key Skills:
Proven hands-on network and security experience CCNP or higher
understanding of networking protocols (e.g., GRE, IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
Hands on experience with Configuring and installing various network devices and services including routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, GRE, QoS)
A solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model
Hands-on experience with monitoring, network and security diagnostic and network analytics tools • Excellent customer service and presentation skills
Proven experience working to ITIL best practices Why work for us:
