We have a gap in our team for a Commercial Manager, could this be you? We want someone equally passionate to help us drive our brand growth agenda with the retailers - think Waitrose, Tesco, Sainsbury's.

You will already be working in a commercial environment, selling a brand into Grocery Retail, but it doesn't have to be food. As our Commercial Manager, reporting directly to the Head of Sales you will be responsible for working with the sales team to grow our branded agenda across the Top 6 grocers and in addition, take direct responsibility for managing the P&L on Morrisons with both brand and private label. You won't do all of this alone. Our expectation of you is that you will adopt a positive team and leadership role working with all our functions including sales, commercial finance, marketing and category to ensure we have a solid NPD plan that can be taken to the trade. This role will give you the chance to operate cross functionally and so gain real breadth and depth in a commercial environment, giving you an opportunity for next stage development.

Our offices are based at Irthlingborough, and there will be times when you need to be on site, and times that you should be out with customers, out conducting store visits or checking out what's new on shelf to keep yourself updated with the competitors and product quality. We see this as a balance of working from home, out in the field and office.

Our ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent with a good grounding in branded sales/trade marketing. We would expect you to be able to demonstrate a level of commercial awareness, understanding P&L and promotional proposals/plans, and to be able to use category and retailer data to help build strong selling decks.

It goes without saying you will need to be an excellent communicator - not only with retailers but you will be required to give regular updates at a senior level and to our leadership team and an exceptional negotiator/influencer - with the ability to think fast and find solutions.
