They're looking to add an eager and enthusiastic individual to join their Team as Assistant site chemist to assist with day-to-day management of facility. The role will be hands-on.
Ensuring full compliance with the site permits
Waste acceptance and compliance with pre‐acceptance
Organisation of site operators
Liaising with Senior Chemist and Process Chemist to ensure sufficient staffing cover across all areas of the site
Stock control and maintenance below permit limits
• Compliance with HSE segregation guidelines
Assessment, organisation, and upkeep of staff training requirements including new starter inductions and training programs are organised and adhered to
Responsibility for contractor inductions and permit‐to‐work implementation
Liaising with site management to best implement day-to-day work requirements
Hazardous Waste Experience
HNC in Chemistry or higher (Related Subjects e.g. Biology or Forensics will be considered where sufficient Chemistry modules were included)
Experience in the Hazardous Waste Management Sector
IOSH/ NEBOSH safety qualification or similar
Experience of directly interfacing with a client
