Controls Engineer
Up to £38.00 per hour - Inside IR35
Remote/Coventry

Working within a team developing software, algorithms and controls.
The team works across the entire development process including requirements capture, control algorithm design and auto-coding, requirements-based testing, control system integration and in
vehicle commissioning and calibration.
The team is also responsible for component and system plant modelling which it uses for modelbased development and testing.
Responsibilities:
Help in mathematical design of model predictive controller
Help in programmatic implementation of the controller
Develop artificial intelligence/machine learning algorithms for the model predictive controller
Research trends in automotive industry to identify future projects
Data mining and analysis
Report writing
Qualifications:
Degree in engineering, mathematics or computer science
Knowledge of control theory and model predictive control
Ability to understand advanced mathematical concepts
Ability to program computational mathematics algorithms
Knowledge of system modelling techniques
Experienced user of Matlab/Simulink
Python, C programming experience a plus
Personal attributes:
Willingness to learn
Good listener
Strong initiative
Self-starter
