Are you an experienced Senior Cloud Security Analyst looking for a new role? Acorn Technology is working with an expanding Data Intelligence company looking to expand there InfoSec function. This role has a remote / work from home split but ideally, you will be in a commutable distance from Reading in order for you to attend occasional meetings in the office and attend client sites when needed.

The role of Security (Senior) Analyst - Cloud Security is a front line, hands-on, operationally focused position, responsible for implementing security controls, for monitoring and responding to security events and incidents, primarily for our Cloud estate (Azure, AWS, SalesForce, etc).

Responsibilities include:
*Act as the first Point of Contact (POC) for all Cloud security events, anomalies, incidents and investigations, and risks.
*Install and configure cloud native as well as third party cloud security tools and systems
*Perform first (and, for the Senior Analyst, in depth) level of analysis for data acquired, produce actionable insight
*Monitoring, in conjunction with the other members of the Infosec Team and with external providers, the security health of our Cloud estate, as well as our external attack surface
*Work with existing teams (e.g. DevOps, R&D, Infrastructure, Service Desk) and enterprise systems (e.g. CI/CD) and procedures to quickly assess and process the most appropriate next action and tuning of controls, when presented with various pieces of data and information relating to information security
*Determine the severity of security vulnerabilities and alerts, assess potential impacts, recommend next steps, follow through with risk treatment and mitigation
*Ability and willingness to work as Analyst On-Call (AOC) outside of normal business hours

Essential experience:
*Good understanding and demonstrable hands-on experience with techniques, tools and practices pertaining to Cloud and SaaS platforms security
*Linux/Unix certifications (hands-on, practical focus) - or equivalent Microsoft certifications
*Cloud / Cloud security certifications (hands-on, practical focus)
*Ability to provide in depth and practical Cloud security expertise to other teams, to recommend and implement appropriate and proportional controls to keep our platforms, data and operations, as well as our customers' data, safe
*Good written and verbal communication, analysis and collaborative skills
*Poise and ability to act calmly and competently in high-pressure situations (e.g. during an incident)
