Working within an Agile software engineering team, the Senior Salesforce Developer will take responsibility for designing, developing, and implementing solutions using the Salesforce technology set, as well as other modern tools and techniques.
Your responsibilities as our Senior Salesforce Developer will include:
Working with multiple aspects of the Salesforce Lightning Platform, including but not limited to Apex Classes, Aura/Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, Controllers & Triggers, Data Loader, org customisation, and SOQL & SOSL, Connect
Producing technical documentation and specifications for custom implementations, supporting Developers and Junior team members both on and offshore
Working with the Salesforce Solution Architect, delivering high-quality design documentation to guide the Developers for the User Stories defined by the Salesforce Functional Consultant
Following our Scrum practices, completing custom development and configuration, integration and data migration elements within the Salesforce environment and ensuring that code developed is technically sound, working with QA and business test teams for assurance and defect management
Contributing to the Product Backlog for Salesforce in terms of Functional Debt, Technical Deb and the Salesforce Platform roadmap to ensure our implementation is always following best practice. We currently have zero technical debt in our Salesforce Estate and we need you to help us keep it that way
Undertaking peer reviews, at times working with other developers to ensure their development of a story is appropriate
Researching solutions and solving technical issues independently or with guidance from the Salesforce Solution Architect
Contributing to the definition of best practice as exploring your leadership style
What we're looking for in our Senior Salesforce Developer:
Degree level or equivalent, possibly professional qualifications and 5 years + work experience
Minimum 5 years' experience working as a Salesforce Developer on both new initiatives and fixes for existing code, with a sound understanding of declarative and imperative coding and Salesforce best practices
Minimum Salesforce Administrator, Platform Dev I and II certification
Technical proficiency with Salesforce technology including seasonal updates
In-depth knowledge of Cloud-based technologies and passion for the CRM field
Good knowledge of software engineering practices including BDD, TDD, continuous delivery and integration, full automation
Understanding of Agile development principles
Competent user of Jira & Confluence
Integration experience, specifically Salesforce Connect Adaptor and Microservices Platforms, with appreciation for API/REST Services and Event-Driven design patterns
Experience in Marketing Cloud would be highly advantageous
