Nicholas Howard Limited are delighted to be currently recruiting on behalf of a local building society for a Management Accountant to join the team on a 6 month fixed term contract, this is an additional position due to the current workload of the society. This role is based in the head office and offers hybrid working (3 days office 2 days from home).

The role is to support and Work with FC, Assistant Accountant and Management Accountant to deliver ad hoc tasks as required including:

* Finalisation of Society Corporation tax with external auditors.

* Upgrading of the General ledger system (this is an upgrade to an existing piece of software - work will involve execution of control checks and completion of our third-party framework - i.e. gap analysis vs the contract).

* Updating / re-structuring of Society's fixed asset register.

* Instituting policies and procedures.


* Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA etc).

* Min 5 years' experience of working in a finance dept (this can include time training, not just post-qual).

* Able to work unsupervised.

* Team player.

* Able to understand tasks and systems quickly (current systems include E-financials, Whistlebrook TMS, AMIS).

As this role is working in the financial services all successful candidates will be subject to background / credit checks.
