Our client is looking for an MSK Physio to join their team .

JOB SUMMARY
To provide high standard of Physiotherapy Service to Outpatients which includes assessment, advice, treatment and patient management.
To assess, develop and implement individual treatment programmes for patients with a variety of Musculoskeletal clinical needs including Orthopaedic conditions, Rheumatology conditions, Spinal assessments and surgical interventions.
To contribute to service development, support peers and on occasion lead on particular service development initiative.
To comply with statutory requirements for physiotherapy and with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy standards and codes of professional conduct.
This is a 5 day fixed working rota with shift patterns. You will be expected to work from multiple work locations across Harrow on fixed work days and shift patterns.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
*To undertake a comprehensive assessment of patients including those with diverse or complex issues; use advanced clinical reasoning skills and assessment to provide an accurate diagnosis of their condition with intermittent support e.g. manual physiotherapy techniques, patient education and other alternative options
*To determine a clinical diagnosis, develop, implement, evaluate and modify individualised treatment programmes, ensuring appropriate pathways of care and communication via liaison and referral to other providers as required
*To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of own work, including the management of patients in your care
*To gain consent and undertake physiotherapy assessment, clinically diagnose, formulate and implement treatment plans using advanced knowledge and experience.
This will include the treatment of complex patients in a manner that respects people's choice, privacy, dignity and individuality
*Use a range of verbal and non-verbal communication tools to communicate effectively with patients to progress rehabilitation and treatment programmes. This will include patients who may have difficulties in understanding or communication
*To assess and manage clinical risk within own patient caseload to include when appropriate Manual Handling and Seating
*Work within clinical guidelines and CSP guidelines and to have a good working knowledge of national and local standards and monitor own and others quality of practice as appropriate
*To be responsible for maintaining accurate and comprehensive patient treatment records using EMIS web, in line with Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) standards of practice, code of professional values and behaviour
*To maintain accurate, comprehensive and up-to-date documentation in line with legal and departmental requirements and communicate assessment and treatment results to the appropriate disciplines in the form of letters and reports.
*To be responsible and competent in the safe use of all physio equipment, gym equipment and patient appliances and aids used on patient management. Ensure staff grade and assistant staff attain competency prior to use
*Maintain and develop current knowledge of evidenced-based practice, developing specialist knowledge of particular conditions and patient types
*Be an active member of the in-service training programme by attendance at, and participation in, in-service training programmes, tutorials, individual training sessions and peer review
*To work as an autonomous practitioner and be professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of work including the management of patients in your care in accordance with Trust, Council and professional body guidelines
*To contribute to the assessment, planning and facilitation of a safe and timely discharge of patients, working closely with the clinical lead/senior physiotherapist
*To be aware of resources/services available to patients within and outside the intermediate tier of services and how to gain access to these; identifying those patients whose needs could be best met by other services and referring and signposting on appropriately
