Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to retained recruitment partners to a leading retail business based in Doncaster as they seek to appoint a new Head of Financial Services. This is a key role within the business working for the Finance Director and will take ownership for the businesses consumer credit strategy and associated compliance, ensuring it is fit for purpose, moving with the times and the best offering possible for both the company and its customers.

Key Duties will include:

* Managing a team of Financial Services personnel including the Financial Services Relationship Manager and Senior Coordinator
* Ensuring the department serves business stakeholders appropriately and the correct framework exists to do so
* Managing, writing and reviewing the Interest Free Credit Policy and Interest Free Credit Procedural Document
* Working with the regulatory compliance team to ensure compliance with FCA rules and guidance (eg. CONC)
* Working with 6 external finance providers to maximise the value of the relationships, including new product reviews, MI analysis, performance reviews
* Maintain lender contracts and ensure they provide the business with appropriate protection, price surety, supply surety and service

The successful candidate will have:

* Strong understanding of strategy development and implementation, particular how this links to delivering competitive advantage
* Strong project management skills and and growing awareness of the role of technology, particular fintech in product design
* Ability to communicate and influence effectively at varying levels of seniority
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and coach a team
* Excellent analytical skills, with an eye for spotting trends in data
* Commercially astute, with the ability to manage large scale and complex tenders

My client offers hybrid working (2/3 days in the office per week) and can pay a competitive salary + bonus for the successful candidate.
