Financial Controller

Adele Carr Financial Recruitment is assisting a world leading engineering business with an interim Financial Controller requirement.
As the Financial Controller you will consolidate and analyze financials for the global transfer business as well as manage the day-to-day accounting activities for the UK legal entity.Reporting to CFO and MD the content of the role will include:

Direct and monitor a variety of accounting activities to ensure that the organization's financial resources are managed in accordance with accounting principles and comply with all relevant regulations, laws, and standards. These activities may include accounts payable and receivable; general ledger maintenance; financial analysis and reporting; budgeting, revenue, and asset accounting. Review all financial reports and accounting statements to ensure they have been accurately prepared. Provide technical expertise and advice on complex accounting issues to functional or operational areas managers to help them develop revenue and expense budgets, understand financial reports, and manage their financial responsibilities. Select, and manage ongoing relationships with, external consultants and advisors (for example accounting firms) to ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards of service. Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of accounting professionals to ensure that accounting activities are completed accurately and on time.Monthly reporting of financial numbers in SAP BPC in line with Group requirementsSuggest and implement improvements in financial reporting procedures in line with the company's Internal Control best practicesFinancial support to other businesses hosted by the legal entity in UK.Ensure all Statutory Accounts & AGM preparations are completed in accordance with local and group requirements.The Person
