Adele Carr Financial Recruitment is working exclusively with a thriving manufacturer based in the Wirral area who has an exciting new requirement for a Commercial Accountant.
Reporting to the welcoming and supportive Finance Manager the content of the role will include:
Provide finance support and guidance to the Business Account Manager as well as the operations and procurement teams
Work with the business to develop appropriate and relevant commercial and operational KPIs that will enable delivery of the agreed business targets
Providing detailed analysis and insight of monthly commercial performance (sales and operations) to the Finance Manager
Support the development of performance metrics and cost information for the operations teams including OEE, materials usage, labour productivity
Provide insight and analysis of operational costs including labour and materials costs and efficiencies
Ensure that product costing (standards) are accurate (materials and labour) and that the company costing system works effectively including overhead allocations
Ensure that all BOMs are accurate, reflect the actual cost of products produced and are reviewed on a regular basis
Support the delivery of operational CI project initiatives
Working with the Business Account Manager, produces financial evaluations for new business including pricing, margins, costs and detailed cashflow projections (where capital investment is required for new business)
Provide sales, margin and cost information for the annual budget and ongoing forecasts
Provide finance support for all capital expenditure proposals ensuring that capital requests are clearly explained and justified, financial projections and costs are accurate and risks and sensitivities considered
Conduct post investment reviews on key projects (revenue and capital)
Work with the procurement team to ensure that materials are being sourced at best value, and there are clear key material supply alternatives where applicable
Working with the business, to develop improved commercial and operations reporting from SAGE
