Civil Engineering Project Manager (UK Wide)
£60,000 - £70,000 + Company car or car allowance
There is an exceptional opportunity for a Project manager with a background in Civil engineering to join a newly formed, successful contractor to lead the way on a series of sustainable substation projects UK wide.
Joining a company that have recently been formed by two of the engineering industries most well-known main contractors, you can expect to be a part of something that will see you acting as a pioneer in the world of renewable generation whilst delivering onshore and offshore substation projects across the UK.
Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will act as a Senior figurehead in this organisation, taking responsibility for leading and managing the Civil engineering team whilst playing a key part in working on bids and leading substation projects.

What is expected of me as Civil engineering Project Manager?
You will act as a technical specialist to a large Civil engineering team whilst promoting a culture of continuous improvement and taking the lead in key initiatives.
Manage, lead, and mentor the team to ensure business results and career growth within the Civil engineering divisions.
Take responsibility for leading and managing the engineering resource, utilization, development, and deliverable of in-house teams, OPCs, and third parties.
Review and inspect design work.
Produce and review engineering time estimates and forecasts to complete for bids and projects.
Manage and develop processes and tools necessary for continued success.
Undertake full responsibilities of Civil Project engineering on assigned bids/projects as and when needed.
Manage, report on, and deliver to set Key Performance Indicators as agreed with Head of Engineering to ensure implementation of best practices and project delivery success.
Monitor, control and report on progress.

The position comes with a basic salary of £60,000 - £70,000, Company car or car allowance, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, matched pension up to 10%, Life assurance (6x), and Critical illness cover.
You must be able to hit the ground running in this role, so it is essential that you have a significant background acting as a Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, or Contracts managing leading Civil engineering works of substation projects at all stages.
You will be a natural leader who is confident in taking on bids and negotiations whilst also communicating with all levels of stakeholders and clients. Knowledge of major utility providers such as National Grid, SSE, EDF etc will be beneficial.
Due to the technical requirements within this role, you will have a minimum of a BSc or MSc or equivalent in Civil engineering or related industries.
Whilst this is an office-based position, you will occasional be required to travel to site nation wide so you must be flexible to do so.
