TMS Implementation Coordinator


£30,000 - £40,000 (flexible depending on experience)

Monday - Friday, Days

I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Transport TMS Project Manager to join a large blue chip company acting as a key support to the senior management team, overseeing the planning, execution / implementation of complex projects.

The Candidate;

* Previous experience of working within a TMS projects / implementation role
* Experience of managing/supervising a team in a logistics and distribution environment
* Mandata Transport Management system experience (desirable)
* Background working in a FMCG business
* Extensive Project Management Experience with a clear focus towards improvement
* Strong communication and relationship building skills; customer focussed with excellent attention to detail
* Calm under pressure and results driven
* Progressive experience in Supply Chain management, including responsibilities for/to: Production; Health, Safety & Environmental; Quality; Distribution
* Experience working in environments utilising Continuous Process Improvement (CPI), Six Sigma, and LEAN Management techniques.
* Strong administrative and IT skills

Duties and Responsibilities;

* Manage the delivery of TMS projects from end to end for multiple areas of the business
* Manage a team of project support
* Responsible for delivering change to the business
* Assess and advise the business on all project and change related requirements
* Deliver effective co-ordination of projects and management of their inter-dependencies including oversight of any risks and issuesa rising
* Co-ordination of the new capability for the business to enable effective change and realisation of projected benefits
* Enable business-wide standards and processes, providing information on progress, costs and resources to assist with key decisions
* Successfully lead Business Improvement Projects (BIP) to achieve cost saving targets, meet agreed project deadlines and proactively manage customer and stakeholder expectations
* Apply knowledge and experience of related process and tools, including Process Mapping, Risk Management, Gap analysis to the lifecycle of each project
* Manage projects within the business including an appropriate team, developing and creating project plans to provide clear visibility of key steps
* Drive the effective use of project tracking to capture, measure, and monitor status, benefits, and issues of projects
* Develop appropriate reports within relevant and appropriate systems
* Deliver training and appropriate documentation
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with project sponsors, cross-functional teams, customers, business partners and stakeholders.
* Ensure excellent verbal and written communication skills, organisation, negotiation ability and initiative
* Design, develop and validate balanced suggestions from the business and customers, making recommendations on improvements
