Tameside College in Ashton-Under-Lyne Greater Manchester is a diverse and vibrant further education college that offers a wide range of course including A level and advanced level vocational study programmes, Apprenticeships and adult courses up to degree Level. We aim to give all our students an exceptional experience.

We believe in excellence and back that up with high expectations, a superb working environment (as part of the Vision Tameside £100 million+ accommodation strategy) and outstanding teaching. We also believe that attending college is about more than achieving a qualification, important though that is. This is why we aim to give learners every opportunity to develop their full potential in a supportive and friendly environment.

We require a motivated individual to join our established Estates team to assist with the opening and closing of the College, and contribute to maintenance, security, First aid porterage and cleaning.

Assisting the Estates team in carrying out routine and everyday maintenance, you will remove snow from main entrances and treat paths and steps with salt during periods of ice and snow, collect litter from collection points and undertake, if necessary, the daily cleaning of a specified area within the buildings to the standard defined in the cleaning specification.

With an NVQ level 2 or equivalent in a suitable trade, candidates should be able to carry out general DIY, have a trades background (plumbing, decorating, joiner etc) and an enthusiastic and security minded approach to their work.

Come join us on our journey to outstanding!
