Quality Manager - EMEA&A
A World Leading OEM Automotive manufacturer is looking for a Quality Manager who will work directly with Senior Managers to support company-wide business objectives. The position will provide leadership, mentoring and development of direct reports. The Quality Manager will be a leader of change and have the ability to work alongside their team in a high paced manufacturing environment; building and inspiring a high performing team who are accountable for results and to form good professional relationships inside and outside the organisation.
Promoting and implementing quality and continuous improvement through the organisation.
Advice on Quality Assurance system changes and implement where necessary.
Customer interface on quality issues
Aiding Supplier quality to incorporated processes.
To monitor and advise on how the quality system is performing and provide data and reports regarding company performance against set indicators. (KPI - Management)
Participates in the development and review of new projects, meeting customer requirements.
Establish and implement the necessary communication for the improvement and awareness of quality issues across all departments
Managing the team of inspectors, Quality Engineers and metrologist, as well as internal auditors
Managing the legislation of product produced
Assisting and guiding the European subsidiaries with quality issues
Conducting and leading annual external certification audits
Proven managerial experience
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) - from board room to shop floor.
In depth knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF16949 management systems is essential
Knowledge of ISO14001 advantageous
Qualified or time served in an engineering background.
Experience in managing quality audits
Willingness to travel in the UK and Europe
Core Tool experience including FMEA, PPAP, Control Plans, APQP etc.
Audit training - lead auditor training would be advantageous or a plan to become an auditor.
