As a Lead Software Developer, you will head up an Agile development team of 5 whilst working throughout the full development lifecycle to design and develop distributed, enterprise-scale systems that enable businesses to automate mission-critical financial processes. You will define, design, and implement new functionality for software solutions utilising modern technologies including Java 11 and Docker. This role will involve a mixture of hands-on development and people management including conducting one to ones, performance reviews, mentoring, and training.

The company is based in Slough however, there will be a lot of remote working flexibility.

Requirements:

• You have previous experience as a Software Developer with good Java 8+ programming skills
• You have previous experience leading / mentoring a small engineering team
• You have good knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals such as OOP, Data Structures, Design Patterns
• You ideally have experience using Docker
• You are fluent in English
• You have excellent communication and collaboration skills
