The Engineering Manager position is working with a rapidly growing, well-established manufacturer and supplier of construction-based products with an international footprint. Based close to the Newcastle Under Lyme / Tunstall area. This is an exciting, challenging, new opportunity to contribute to delivering a high performing Engineering Team. Reporting into the Operations Director, you will be instrumental in developing and delivery of the maintenance function of the site and achieving high performance levels though a dashboard of KPI measure.

To work within the Companies Health and Safety policies at all times.
Ensuring relevant Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Permits to Work are supervised.
Provide support where required in the event of breakdowns.
Proactively work to reduce machine downtime, using relevant data streams to engineer downtime out.
Perform root cause analysis on agreed downtime levels, implementing countermeasures.
Servicing & maintenance of electrical & mechanical equipment & services in accordance with current regulations supervising internal labour and external contractors.
Working in partnership with colleagues to drive operational objectives.
Create and execute Planned Preventative Maintenance and develop systems such as CMMS.
Where necessary take the lead on CapEx feasibility studies.
Order in goods and services relating to maintenance activities.
Controls critical spare parts in line with agreed cost levels.
Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development.
Review and maintain critical spare parts in the stores, reordering as required.
Using 5s methodology to improve and maintain the workplace to a high standard.
There may be a requirement to provide out of hours breakdown cover.
The requirement to carry out Personal Development Reviews, motivating and supervising a small team.
To carry out other tasks as deemed necessary, that are within the job holder's capability.Key skills and requirements of Engineering Manager;
Experience of working within an engineering environment.
Relevant engineering qualifications NVQ, BTEC, C&G, Apprenticeships
Development of a team working strategy and create a positive 'can do' attitude.
Proactive, hands-on, engaging approach.
Skills in factory maintenance, fault finding & repairs, PPM's
Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Shafts & Bearings changes
