Role: Credit Control Administrator
Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: Competitive
Hours: Monday-Friday / 8.30am-5pm
Contract: Permanent
Our client is seeking an experienced credit controller to join our busy team in Knowlhill, Milton Keynes. The day-to-day duties of the Credit Control Administrator includes maintaining and updating the consolidated invoice ledger, posting payments to debtors accounts, data input of Direct Debit initialization run, compiling credit exposure and ledger reports for the credit controllers, processing incoming funds, producing monthly statements and sending dunning letters. The Credit Control administrator is a key figure in supporting the financial function of a business, which requires the building and maintaining of strong relationships with the credit controllers to ensure the smooth running of their accounts.
The Credit Control administrator has an important role to play in supporting the financial function of the business by:
Ensuring customer data is up to date
Providing accurate management data
Working closely alongside stakeholders to minimize risk whilst supporting business growth
Supporting the evaluation of customer credit limits
Working within a team of 5 credit controllers
Working closely with the Credit Manager, colleagues across the business plus internal & external customers
Administering ledgers in excess of £5m
Essential skills, knowledge, and experience:
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
Computer literate - Microsoft Office including Excel
Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail
The ability to listen to customers and negotiate solutions
Proven experience within a busy Credit Control / Sales Ledger function within an administration role.
Working knowledge of Credit reference agencies and associated technologies
Desirable skills, knowledge, and experience:
ICM level III or working towards
Working knowledge of SAP
Advanced Excel
Experience of the catering industry
Aptitude & Attitude:
Results orientated
Able to manage time and work under pressure to tight deadlines
Able to manage the demands of numerous tasks
High attention to detail
Tenacious, persistent, and balanced
Patient and with the ability to remain calm
Open and enthusiastic approach whilst remaining firm and professional
