Our client is looking for an experienced Technical Author for a 6 or 12 month fixed term contract.
Key Objectives & Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for the delivery of Design Verification Methods (DVMs) to enable the client to robustly deliver the validation and verification stages of their premium product. These methods will cover a variety of functional areas and be developed from a variety of sources
The Role
Author new DVM procedures for a variety of function groups
Develop existing DVM procedures to reach a consistently high level of quality
Work with function group teams to identify and priorities DVMs to work on
Interact with component owners and project engineers to determine appropriate methodology detail and capture this within DVMs
Improve, discuss and implement template changes as required
Support discussions between groups to ensure consistent approach to testing and the documentation of an agreed approach
Lead reviews of documents with varied stakeholder groups
Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information and instructions for greatest reader comprehension and write and edit technical information accordingly.
Produce and edit graphics, illustrations, and charts to aid understanding and complement complex written information
Some remote working
Requirements
Demonstrable experience in delivering high quality engineering documentation, preferably within the Automotive industry
Working knowledge of validation and testing methods and techniques
Excellent Microsoft Office skills - particularly Word
Self-starting attitude and ability to balance priorities
Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
