Tradewind are currently recruiting for a hardworking and organised secondary teaching assistant to work in one of our secondary schools in Enfield. The role is to start ASAP for the rest of the academic year with the view to go permanent for the right candidates. The daily rate is £80.00 per day.
The school is a Catholic voluntary aided secondary school and Sixth Form for boys and girls aged 11-18 in Enfield, founded by the Society of Jesus. It was formerly a grammar school, only accepting boys who had passed the Eleven plus exam. Today the school is far more inclusive and has been mixed since 2014.
They continue to achieve outstanding examination results, high quality teaching and learning, and pastoral care. The school have also recently completed a £5 million building project which has transformed their learning environment.
The school does have a large carpark and is accessible via local bus links.
They require a confident Teaching Assistant to support small groups and also work 1:1 with pupils with SEN, particularly SEMH, and behaviour. Typically you will be supporting KS3 pupils but you will be expected to be flexible as your support may be required in different classes supporting different needs. You will be required to support key pupils and liaise with the SENDCO, providing progress reports.Essential requirements:
